Canciones de amor

- Mi buen amigo by Franco de Vita

Mi Princesa por Victor Muñoz
- Song uses lots of references to Cinderella's glass slipper, príncipe azul, and subjunctive (yo quiero que tú seas mi princesa)

J King y Maximan - Sr. Juez
- Song is full of vocabulary relating to legal issues (arrepentir, atrever, el caso, el cobarde, cometer, condenar, confesar, contar, convertir, correr, culpable, dejar, el delito, encarcelar, encontrar, el enemigo, fallar, los fracasos, el juez, luchar, morir, pensar, perdonar, seguir, seguro, sentenciar, sentir, el sufrimiento, el tiempo, la verdad, volver) and uses it as a metaphor for discussing lost love. Some preterit tense, some present perfect and some present subjunctive, but no single tense really dominates.

NoviaDelCampoAmapola.jpg - Interactive activities created by Barbara Kuczun designed to engage students with a poem about love and friendship while practicing the future tense

- The poem, El sol de Monterrey, by Alfonso Reyes Read aloud to photos of the sun

Por eso no tienes novio
- Amusing video in which a woman delivers a monologue about the importance of not eating like a pig to an unseen person who turns out to be her small daughter. Final text at the end discusses the importance of eradicating stereotypes about beauty. This would be great for discussing what "good friends" do, what kind of advice is appropriate for a "good friend" to give, etc.

- Compares life to a train and the people in it to people who share the train ride with us
